Review: T'ai Chi Masks (Herborist)

This will be pretty quick, because first, the ingredient list is absolutely impossible to find, and second, I didn't like the product much.

In Paris, I bought this set from Herborist at the large Sephora store at Champs-Elysees. It was supposed to be around 13 E, but I think I was only charged 10 E, which is an aweosme price for two masks, a day cream and an eye cream. I'll review the creams later, since I've only been using them for about a week. On the other hand, I've finished both masks today, so I've collected enough data to share with you, lol.

General info

Herborist is a Chinese brand, I suppose it's on the pricier side and I also suppose it's almost impossible to get, since I haven't found it at sasa, US Sephora and other major stores that might carry it. As I already said, the ingredient lists are unavailable online, there's nothing to be found on the official webpage either.

What does the leaflet say:
"Herborist T'ai Chi Masks for the face contain extracts from several Chinese herbs, including Peony Root extracts. This product composes a black mask and a white mask, one to cleanse and then the other to reveal the radiance on the face, which brings a whole new experience to skin care.
The black mask is an effective cleanser that removes impurities from the surface of the skin as well as from inside of the pores, such as dirt, makeup residue and aging skin cells, thus enabling skin to reach an ultra clean state.
The white mask soothes and softens the skin, for restoring its radiance and balance.

What it actually does:
Nothing at all.

Enough for 6 applications, once a week.

(Sorry, the packaging is sort of wrinkled and dirty since I took the pics before throwing the tubes away)

So, just as I said, it doesn't cleanse or soothe or make the skin radiant. It's completely useless, at least for me. The only fun thing is the application - first you put on the black mask and massage your face for 5 minutes, then you rinse it off (which is VERY difficult) and apply the white mask, massage your skin for 3 more minutes and then leave it on for 10 minutes. The booklet warns you might experience a tingling sensation, but I felt nothing, except for having some silly-looking paste all over my face. I think my family had tingling sensations whenever they saw me though.

So, to sum it up: if you (by any chance) manage to find these masks in a store, don't buy them, there are better products to invest your money in (reviews of those are going to be posted sometime in the future).

Yours truly
Vita

Bílá maska zklidňuje a zjemňuje pokožku, čímž obnovuje její jas a rovnováhu.
